Difficulty of Listen stories, reading, and how simply Talk speaks to you. Lower it if things feel too fast.

What you can say
Your speaking level — it sets how you're graded and how hard quizzes are. Struggling to follow along? Lower “What you hear & read” instead, not this. Changing it restarts your path progress here; cards and reviews are untouched.
Guided mode
Shows the in-app tips and coach encouragement that help you learn. Turn it off for a clean, minimal interface — handy when you’re showing the app to someone else.
Voice & sound
Voice
Man, woman, or Either for a natural mix of both across your stories, lessons, and cards. Dialogues always use both.
Voice quality
Natural voice uses a lifelike neural TTS engine — real regional accents for English and Spanish. When it’s off or unavailable, the app uses the free built-in browser voice.
